Gearing up for Ladakhi Hockey

Our gear donations and development camps are now shifting to the Himalayan hockey hotbed of Ladakh, which sport a few outdoor rinks, some with breathtaking scenery and adjacent to ancient Buddhist monasteries. Access to equipment and many other resources are tough in higher altitude places like Ladakh, but hockey has been popular there since the 1970s.

We are continuing to work with SECMOL (Students' Educational and Cultural Movement of Ladakh), which was founded in 1988 by a group of young Ladakhis to reform the educational system of Ladakh. SECMOL's website does a great job in explaining their hockey program and its history.
